Stories of daily loneliness #8: clouds from above by d-s-foto Stories of daily loneliness #8: clouds from above by d-s-foto
When we are in the air, suspended above the clouds with our music blasting at full volume in our ears looking at the world below us is like watching a ball with the fake snow that falls, it is like watching a diorama of the earth and feel distant, it is like being in another dimension ...
Perhaps it is for this reason that all of us are so drawn to photograph the clouds from above.
We all love to watch from above our loneliness and share it with a multitude of other solitudes.

The photos were all taken in Italy, the vertical left picture was taken in an indefinite place of central Italy (but they are just clouds!), The vertical right photo was taken in north-western Alps, the photo below is of the volcano Etna in Sicily.

Thanks! There are a lot of airplane-window-photos on DA. Difficult to find something new to say, but I love this composition too: so I posted it :-)

Questa veramente qualcosa di meraviglioso. Complimenti!

Ti ringrazio!

Thank you for the feature!!! I suppose that, since they are "clouds from above", my (3) pictures are "above" all other featured :-). I would have left the flower's photo on the bottom part of the series to keep the complete circle "from the sky to the ground" ("Until the End" of Eveningoflight could have been the perfect bottom of your series ix). Anyway, great selection, as always!

First of all, please forgive me for the late reply. I was kind off "bombed" these days on DA!

Youre very welcome!
Yeah, maybe this wouldnt have been a bad idea at all, only that I just wanted that beautiful wondering smile at the bottom. Maybe because humans and smiles are more important for me, maybe because all of the above were possible because of the lens, maybe because from clouds to humans are so many different worlds, each with their own beauty, that is almost impossible to "align" them all in this perfect panorama, maybe because, after all, art is a matter of feeling and anyone can feel in so many different ways the same work (And , here, Until the end is the perfect example), maybe because....and, of course, last but not least, maybe because....

Thank you too!

Thanks! It's important to look at this picture as part of an entire sequence/story/game/series... All the other pictures before are giving a specific mean to the one coming just after!

Thank you! I don't know how will go on this series... I have still one composition in mind, after that I would like to start with a new work, with a lot of common elements with the "stories of daily loneliness"
