Perhaps of all the places that make you feel the loneliness, the supermarket is the most colorful, noisy, happy and desperately sad!
I recall my stops at the supermarket a few years ago for a quick-food-shopping, the preamble to a dinner with me, myself and I, a good record or with the TV blu reflection over the table.
At the supermarket, everything is at your fingertips, you can touch it, feel its weight, texture ... You can open and smell the bubble bath ... You will buy things that you were not aware of their existence until a moment before and now, materialized in front of your eyes, they have become essential!
In the supermarket we become sacrificial lambs, which are to be slay on the altar of consumerism ... And we are wandering and wandering, lonely and "lost in the supermarket" as the Pulp song of a few years ago.
The photographs were taken in Zadar, in Croatia, a couple of weeks ago .

Forse di tutti i luoghi che fanno pensare alla solitudine, il supermercato è il più colorato, chiassoso, allegro e disperatamente triste!
Mi vengono in mente le mie soste al supermercato di qualche anno fa per una spesa-da-un-giorno, preambolo di una cenetta da solo, in compagnia di un buon disco o al lume del televisore.
Al supermercato tutto è a portata di mano, lo puoi toccare, sentirne il peso, la consistenza... Puoi aprire i bagnoschiuma ed annusare il profumo... Tu comperi cose di cui ignoravi l'esistenza fino ad un attimo prima e che ora, materializzate davanti ai tuoi occhi, esse sono diventate indispensabili!
Nel supermercato diventiamo agnelli sacrificali, che vanno a farsi immolare sull'altare del consumismo... E vaghiamo, vaghiamo, soli e "lost in the supermarket" come cantavo i Pulp in una canzone di qualche anno fa'.
Le fotografie sono state scattate a Zadar, in Croazia, un paio di settimane fa'.

Grazie! è un po' un lavoraccio tradurre ogni volta (scrivere solo in italiano sarebbe molto più semplice :-)) ma mi piace l'idea di raccontare sempre la storia che c'è dietro ad un'immagine, e su DA l'inglese va per la maggiore...

Certo capisco, ma penso che quando la spiegazione è parte integrante dell'opera sia giusto scrivere anche in lingua originale, perché le parole restano fresche e autentiche come le si pensa.
La traduzione talvolta toglie qualcosa al testo originale (anche se spesso resta valida ed è un ottimo strumento perché ormai l'inglese lo capiscono quasi tutti.)

Looks like some live transmissions from the security cameras.
Love this one. It has this natural and ordinary touch.
The dramatic effect is amplifying somehow the fact that those humans are so "captured" by their own banal shopping. Like this world has no other more important issue.
