Although for many, many years I took the train every day, I admit that now I can't see railway stations not too often... Now when I see a station I think of solemn moments. "Goodbye" or "adieu" along the tracks and the escalators that lead from one floor to another, from one platform to another as lonely survivors after that who has been with us for a long time, or for a very short amazing time, disappeared behind the sliding doors of the train that slowly leaves the station!
The three pictures have been taken in June 2012, in Milan (Stazione centrale) and Florence (S.Maria Novella).
Thanks! At the beginning I had in mind a series made by 4 collages... But now, that the 4 collages are done, I have a couple more in mind. I'm not sure about the possibility to go on with collages. I would like to come back on standing alone photos, let's what happen.
I saw the picture in the link, it is taken in the Central Station in Milan. It is more focused on the use of the light, I think it's very well done!
They look great. You did a very good job in my opinion. This collage gives a new air to the photos, so, here, was more than welcomed. A stand alone photo, in this case, I guess it would have said less and would have been less suggestive. To tell you the truth I love your "Daily loneliness" series and I think you should go on with them. You can continue with your stand alone works also, only that let this series up too, as some kind of inner puzzling. They do tell a different story than a single work. They are like microfilm.
Yes, the work is from the same location. ThatŽs why IŽve send it to you. The artist just began to discover the black and white world and he is more on portraiture, but, I remembered suddenly his work when seeing yours (because of the mirror effect?). Thought you might like to see a different perspective!
Thank you for the support, I've really appreciate your note! I think to follow your suggestion and to go on with "Daily loneliness" series and I'll work on the new ideas I have now in mind! Let's wait a couple of submission before come back to the standing alone works!
In the same line, thought you might like it too: [link]
